Welcome

The journey has begin for me and the health community to share our thoughts, opinions, frustrations, and miracles about health and the healthcare industry. The discovery for me to realize that my health was the number one priority in my life was profound. Health was never that important to me, because my life was always a whirldwind of activity and fun. However an illness or sickness will come into your life and bring a grinding halt or stop to everything. A major event will force you and your family to redefine what is important and essential to living. The things at one time appeared significant to breathing no longer make a difference without your health.
There is a crisis in America with health and healthcare and for some reason people are to busy with living. They are to busy to slow down and go to the doctor for their yearly or semi-yearly examination. As a result of this total disregard for their health, they are putting themselves and their family at risk. The excuse that they cannot afford to pay or they have to work is a result of not being concerned with their health. We never realize how precious our health is until it is to late. The things that we refuse to do now in the future we always say we should have or could have done. Each of us has a responsibility to improve or maintain our health when things are going good and there are no major issues or problems.
Ultimately we are our worst enemies when it comes to our health. We are given many opportunities when there is a problem with our health. There are numerous signs and indicators that something is wrong, but refuse to heed the call. Maybe we are just stubborn or many we feel that we are too young or too smart, but sickness does not discriminate. Again I will reiterate that health should be our number one priority as a nation and a person. The truth of the matter is on our list our health many times does not even make the top five.
The journey has begun and any subject about health, recovery, rehabilitation, sickness, illness, strokes, cancer, heart attacks, healthcare, insurance, depression, drugs, medical breakthroughs, and alternative healthcare is welcome on this health forum. Share your story and experience and thank you for your mind and time. Roger
